Maddox Gallery is pleased to offer our clients VIP passes to preview the fair on a first-come first-served basis.
Over 70 top international, national, and regional galleries will be attending, and the fair’s reach is expected to expand further into the region’s already influential and dedicated collecting community. Ahead of our first US gallery officially opening in LA on 11th October, Texas Contemporary will be a fantastic opportunity to meet with our international audience.
Maddox Gallery will be showing works by blue chip artists such as Jeff Koons, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Mel Bochner, as well as some of the most exciting names working in the market today including David Yarrow, Dan Baldwin, Michael Moebius, Mr Brainwash, RETNA, The Connor Brothers and Mike Dargas.
We’re excited to be showing Carl McCrow’s work for the first time. A new addition to our roster of talented British artists, his former career as a soldier defines his art. McCrow has begun a journey to deactivate and destroy as many weapons as he can, and uses decommissioned weaponry from areas of conflict to create his artworks. He hopes to challenge our sanitised view of guns, and acknowledge the dark story each weapon carries with it.
It’s also an honour to bring with us works by the late ‘Godfather of street art’ Richard Hambleton. Maddox Gallery recently held an exhibition of his works in Leake Street Arches, under Waterloo, alongside an exclusive interview with the director of Shadowman, Oren Jacoby.
We will also be showing works by celebrated street artist Bradley Theodore, who has recently released a sportswear collection in collaboration with Puma Suede, and whose latest solo exhibition ‘The Coronation’ launches at our flagship gallery on Maddox Street, Mayfair, this week to coincide with Frieze.
