Lauren Baker is a British multi-disciplinary artist renowned for her work using lights and reflective material. Her works involve neon, infinity mirrors and moving sculptures to explore light, space, energy fields, the after-life and other dimensions.

Recent works visually interpret unseen energy. Listening to sound frequencies  to sound frequencies to reach a meditative state, she digitally paints auras and energy, incorporating diamond dust, neon and kinetic elements to create celestial artworks. She also uses tubular neon lights in an array of colours skilfully shaped into her own handwriting to express universal energies and life mantras. Fascinated by bones, her creations also include painted and embellished human resin skulls, animal skulls and sculpted animal heads.

Born in Middlesbrough in 1982, Lauren Baker is a self-taught artist. She cites Nancy Fouts and Roger Hiorns as major artistic inspirations. In 2012, disillusioned with her corporate job she quit and headed for South America. It marked a turning point in her life. She joined a mosaic street project in Brazil and whilst meditating in the Peruvian jungle had an epiphany that she was destined to be an artist. She has never looked back.

She has created installations at The V&A, Tate Britain and Tate Modern and her work is held in collections worldwide. Her limited edition artworks have been sell-out success stories, each one handblown in London to achieve a precise and distinctive look. In 2015, her limited edition print, ‘You Blow My Mind’, sold out in just 24 hours.

Passionate about animals and conservation, Lauren is an ambassador for Save Wild Tigers and her 'The Crystal Tigress', a sculpted life-size tiger head encrusted with 52,000 crystals, which toured Asia and was endorsed by Jimmy Choo and Jaime Winstone, fetched £30,000 at the tiger conservation charity auction.
