‘We don’t have many strong images of Black Panthers, but the three that I have from the last twelve years are all coveted. I don’t think there is another animal that tests our camera systems and indeed our camera work as much as these beautiful cats. This photograph was taken in the Kevin Richardson Sanctuary one hour north of Pretoria. Kevin does as much as anyone to raise awareness of the plight of the African lion. His relationship with big cats is a wonder to see first-hand and as an ambassador to his foundation’.
