With his 'Soup Can' series, Banksy mocks the ubiquity of British retail food giant Tesco. A riff on Andy Warhol’s iconic 'Campbell's Soup Cans' motif, the original vintage colourway was released in 2005 as a limited edition of 50 signed prints and 250 unsigned prints, alongside 10 signed copies in 28 different colours — the most desirable among collectors. One year later, Banksy released 78 signed prints featuring four soup cans.
