Artist on Artist: Charlotte Rose x Celine Ali

For 'Paradiso', Charlotte Rose and Celine Ali bring two distinct approaches to colour, storytelling and visual experimentation. In our latest artist-on-artist interview, they sit down together to explore where their practices meet.

Charlotte Rose reimagines the language of consumerism, painting logos, slogans and product imagery in oil and acrylic to reveal the persuasive — and sometimes unsettling — power of branding. Her work fuses expressive Neo-Expressionist mark-making with the clarity of cultural critique, inviting us to see the familiar anew.

By contrast, Celine Ali creates richly layered colour fields where figuration and abstraction overlap, each canvas alive with movement, emotion and a vivid sense of place. Her paintings are intimate yet assertive, merging personal narrative with a tactile, intuitive engagement with material and form. Together, they discuss the role of process, influence and instinct in shaping their work and how 'Paradiso’s' curatorial vision has brought their practices into meaningful dialogue.
