"Inspired by movies like Easy RIder, I felt the California landscape would complement the bikes and romanticise the freedom of travel that the Harley-Davidson brand evokes. We decided on Valley of Fire in Nevada, which had enough depth and moon - like rock structures on either side of the road that dragged one’s gaze to the centre. Our cast consisted of the bikers from California, my usual five wolves and the delightful Bryana Holly. First, we worked out the necessary maths to compress distance while getting decent depth of field. My reliable 85mm lens was key. The result is a monster of a photograph, far better than I had hoped for"
