"This is a great facade for an authentic Texas working bar with the two neon lights. However, these didn't offer enough light to give any detail to the outside, even before I decided I wanted to capture a rearing horse.

We had to use some LED lighting while being careful not to kill the mood. I got my chance by opening up the lens and sacrificing depth of field, as all the detail I wanted would be within a narrow range from my camera.

The girls did a great job, as did the cowboys, including the Heath Ledger- type in the bar. It was down to luck with the horse on a long-ish shutter speed".
