Bear Toast

A painting directly inspired by the artist’s childhood mornings, “Bear Toast” invites viewers into the world of Brent Estabrook’s Quilts series for the very first time. With a tribute to both nostalgia and future work, this painting is unique in that instead of his famous use of thick impasto paints, Estabrook used thin washes for quick brush strokes to give viewers the sensation of movement in the final piece.
