Summer Soirée
In the third piece of his cRaZy stuFFed aniMALs Pile series, Brent allowed the Smiles bear in the center to set the stage for a family-portrait style Pile painting that reflects summers in London with his wife, Tara. Brent used alla prima techniques to emphasize the importance of the first brushstrokes in the painting, a deviation from his typical thick, layered impasto.
