Tyler Shields (American, b. 1982) is a photographer and filmmaker whose work has achieved significant critical and commercial attention for its combination of formal ambition, visual provocation and celebrity access. Working at the intersection of fine art photography and fashion, Shields creates images of considerable aesthetic power — technically accomplished, conceptually engaged and often controversial in their willingness to challenge social conventions. His fine art editions are collected internationally and his commercial work has appeared in global publications and campaigns.
