COOPER, JUNE 2024, LONDON

COOPER

JUNE 2024, LONDON
Discovered by Jay Rutland, creative director of Maddox, Cooper is part of a new generation of contemporary painters who are bringing everyday domesticity to high art, with the objects in his works representing the joy he finds in the minutiae of life. From vintage record players and speakers to the plants he surrounds himself with in his studio, his subject matter is always highly personal – an amalgamation of memories of the past, together with dreams and aspirations of the future.
ROSS MUIR, SUMMER 2024, LONDON

ROSS MUIR

SUMMER 2024, LONDON
Scottish artist Ross Muir recreates iconic artworks and imagery with a contemporary twist. From Adidas tracksuits to witty slogans, the artist creates prints and paintings inspired by the history of art. Vincent van Gogh, Henri Mattise and Pablo Picasso are just a few of the historic creatives the artist has paid homage to.
BRENT ESTABROOK, SUMMER 2024, GSTAAD

BRENT ESTABROOK

SUMMER 2024, GSTAAD

Key to Brent’s work is the philosophy of “it is not what you paint, but how you paint.” This grounds the artist, reminding him to focus on each brush stroke and mark on his canvas, sustaining him with a mindful presence. The artist aims to push his artistic boundaries, captivating his audience with evocative compositions that join technical precision with the curiosity of a child at play, thus creating harmony on canvas. His works are a transformative experience, allowing the viewer to journey into a world of textures come alive, dancing colours and self-discovery.

JESSICA BRILLI, SEPTEMBER 2024, LONDON

JESSICA BRILLI

SEPTEMBER 2024, LONDON

Jessica Brilli’s work is highly personal and echoes her own childhood in New York on Long Island. She portrays this in the suburban scenes of cars on driveways, meticulously mowed lawns and neighbouring pools, with a delicate 1960s backdrop. The artist aims to explore the effects of colour on our memory, and through creating narratives that took place before her birth, her works act as a window to the back. Engages with the past, bringing two timelines together, bringing the viewer along for the ride.

WILL MARTYR, OCTOBER 2024, LONDON

WILL MARTYR

OCTOBER 2024, LONDON
“There is something exquisitely contradictory about the mountains. They can be a brutal and unforgiving environment, so cold, so remote, yet so beautiful, so vast, so breath taking, so tranquil. We are not supposed to be here like this, certainly not at lunch. It’s an environment so alien to everyday banalities. Nature has been tamed to provide us with a dazzlingly and alluring playground for recreation and indulgence at the top of the world."
