Biography
"I explore the ways in which the objects are being rendered in hopes that they are placed between reality and non-reality."
A South Korean artist, she explores what lies between misery and joy, deprivation and desire using depicting objects present in the everyday experience of contemporary people.
Chung’s work is based on her actual life and uses the space and objects to reflect what people enjoy at home, what they hide and what they want to reveal, in other words, her work is an intersection of personal mythology and collective identity.
