Inheriting Andy Warhol’s iconic soup can from 1962, Banksy denunciates the greedy omnipresence of the Tesco supermarkets at the expense of small local grocery shops.
Banksy released Soup Can in various compositions. The original vintage colour switch with a single can was released in 2005 through 50 signed prints, 250 unsigned prints and 28 colourways of 10 signed copies each (currently the most desired among collectors). One year later, Banksy released 78 signed prints with a composition of four soup cans, and a 25 can poster of 2000 unsigned copies.
