By playing with the context of existing artworks, Chaumeton’s visionary reimaginings recontextualise their original aesthetic by placing them in a white limbo space.
Born in London in 1996, Sebastian Chaumeton’s multi-layered works address issues surrounding the oversaturation of information and images in modern society, whilst also conveying a weariness about the consequences of technology’s rapid advancements.
A recent graduate from the Chelsea College of Art, Chaumeton experiments with several mediums including ceramics, paintings and video installation. Having collaborated with heavyweight brands such as Laurent Perrier and P&O Cruises, his practice also extends to vibrant wall murals, often created by taking suggestions from members of the public.
Chaumeton lives and works in London.
