Cheng Zhe

Cheng Zhe is a Chinese contemporary artist born in Heilongjiang Province, China and currently based in Qingdao, Shandong. The artist completed his studies in oil painting at the renowned Xu Beihong's Studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2004.

His recent works are deeply inspired by his young daughter, whose joyful and kind nature helped him navigate the hardships of the pandemic. His newly adopted motif of a little girl serves as a symbol of great love, kindness, and mercy—qualities he wishes to share with the world through his art.

Zhe began his artistic journey in 2004 in the studio of the late Chinese painter Xu Beihong at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where he mastered oil painting. His notable works, such as 'Red Rise', 'Memory of 19XX', and 'Born after the 80s', are highly sought after and have been collected by both domestic art institutions and international private collectors.
