About Jessica Brilli

Jessica Brilli is a Contemporary painter whose practice draws on American Realism and mid-century graphic design aesthetics to capture the overlooked beauty of everyday life.

Working in acrylic and oil, she depicts quiet suburban settings and domestic objects in muted, sun-bleached palettes inspired by 35mm Kodachrome slides and found photographs.

Her compositions hold a nostalgic sense of Americana, with mood shaped through light, shadow and a deliberate emphasis on space and stillness. Figures, when present, remain secondary – absorbed into the architecture and setting – so the viewer can project their own memories into the scene.

Brilli earned her BFA in Painting from the University of Rhode Island and a certificate in Graphic Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and has lived in Boston for over two decades. In 2021, she was named a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grantee.
